PARIS-SACLAY

Our main and largest campus hosts no less than 13 research laboratories. Their work spans from information and
communication sciences and technology to materials, mechanics, electrical engineering, artificial intelligence, by way of
            industrial engineering and energy.
For detailed information on our research laboratories, please visit our institutional website :

            RENNES

Our Western-France campus is home to two research laboratories, both research units of CNRS, the French scientific
research agency: IRISA (Institut de Recherche en Informatique et Systèmes Aléatoires) and IETR (Institut d’Electronique
et des Technologies du Numérique). The former is the largest research laboratory in Computer Science and Information
Technology in France, with more than 850 researchers. It covers all branches of these areas, from computer and network
architecture to artificial intelligence, by way of software engineering, distributed systems and virtual reality. The latter is
involved in communication networks, “smart cities”, telecommunications, internet of things, antenna design, etc. Its large
technical platforms are a real-scale playground for various experiments, making it a destination of choice for industries’
R&D, as well as national and international research groups.

            METZ

Our Eastern-France campus is also home to two research laboratories, LMOPS (Laboratoire Matériaux Optiques,
Photonique et Systèmes), jointly operated with Université de Lorraine, and Loria (Laboratoire lorrain de Recherche
en Informatique et ses Applications), in collaboration with CNRS - the French scientific research agency, Université de
Lorraine and INRIA - the national institute for research in digital science and technology.
LMOPS is composed of four research teams: Materials, Photonics, Spectrometry and Photovoltaic systems. Study
in this laboratory revolves around materials, materials for optics, non-linear optics, optical sensors and photovoltaic
systems. Since 2017, LMOPS hosts the Chair in Photonics, a unique platform in France dedicated to the development
and promotion of education and training, scientific excellence and innovation regarding the use of light and optical SEMESTER BY RESEARCH
            technologies.
Loria was created in 1997. Its core mission is theoretical and applied research in information and communication
            sciences. Twenty-nine research teams are spread across five departments: Algorithms, Computation, Image & Geometry;
Formal methods; Networks, Systems & Services; Natural Language Processing & Knowledge discovery; and Complex
Systems, Artificial Intelligence & Robotics. The laboratory also makes it its priority to develop collaborations with industries
            through technology transfer.
